There have been several prior attempts of an online discussion. The first on line discussion happened on the now defunct AOL forum, called Ethics - Siddha Yoga and later renamed to LSY. This group, which was moderated by AOL, started in about 1995. Some of the archives are available under the Resources section of this site. In November of 1997, LSY started a newsgroup, alt.support.ex-cult.siddha-yoga, in an attempt to bring together the folks on AOL and those emailing the LSY website. The newsgroup was not moderated and while it still exists, is not used. In December of 1998, it was decided to start a moderated email list. That list was closed in July of 2001. The archives may still be available (if they have not been deleted by Yahoo) at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LSY. To read them you have to join the list by emailing sresnick2@attbi.com. Some of the original emails have been deleted by the individual author as that is a feature of the list. No knew posts can be made there.
