So, the word is out regarding the 1998 schedule for summer
programs at South Fallsburg. And what a surprise. Chidvilasananda is only going to do 2
public programs the whole summer, her birthday (she won't want to miss all the gifts
everyone will want to give her) and mahasamadhi. That's it! The official reason is that
she plans to spend her time with the children. Apparently there is no indication that this
decision will impact her presence in PAID programs.Now is this deja vue? Remember when she stopping giving darshan because it was
"divinely inspired"? And then we learned it was because she had a bad back. So
the followers have been given a "better reason" in advance. How can they argue
with her spending time with their children.
Now, not to be too cynical. But the children don't know of all the
controversy the adults do so they can't ask embarrassing questions about the web site and
about all the other problems that exist. The other thought is that children are so much
more impressionable and those parents are going to be so so grateful that the divine guru
has chosen to give of herself to their children. Those parents will fell so blessed by
this wondrous event.
Maybe, she is simply getting tired of it all.
