What Happened to the Counter?

Counters are not accurate means of recording how many people visit any web site. While it is normal to show 1 “hit” per access, they can be easily programmed to show any number of hits when a page is accessed. Some ISP’s cache the pages for their subscribers and while the ISP gets it once and thereby generates 1 hit, multiple subscribers may then request the pages from the ISP. AOL is an example of that.

Generally, we receive about 60 visitors a day.
